Porseleinberg

Porseleinberg is a single-site Syrah from the Swartland that has, since its first vintage in 2010, become one of South Africa’s most celebrated and sought-after wines. Made by cult winemaker Callie Louw from incredibly poor soils on the slopes of the Porseleinberg, the wine is rightfully revered.

More about Porseleinberg

The Porseleinberg estate is owned by Boekenhoutskloof and comprises 173 hectares in total, of which around 90 are planted today. They purchased the farm in 2009, having sourced fruit from the vineyards previously (along with the likes of Eben Sadie and Rustenberg). Although much of the fruit is used for Boekenhoutskloof’s Chocolate Block cuvée, Porseleinberg comes from specific plots and is managed and run totally separately to Boekenhoutskloof.
