Denis Durantou acquired the vineyards that form Ch. Montlandrie between 2009 and 2011, now a total 28 hectares. He was excited by the particular terroir of this south-facing hillside, which sits on the same limestone terrace as Saint-Emilion, which re-emerges here, and offered a new challenge, totally different to the gravel and clay-rich Pomerol terroir he was used to. It’s this soil that defines the bring wines .
