Giacomo Conterno is arguably Barolo’s most celebrated estate. While most famous for its Monfortino Riserva, the quality found in every bottling of Nebbiolo and Barbera at this address makes them a benchmark producer for both varieties.
About the producer
Winemaking in the Conterno family has a long history stretching back to the early 18th century, but the family did not own any vineyards until 1974. Prior to this, Giacomo Conterno used to purchase grapes – including for its esteemed Monfortino Riserva.
