Much more discreet and reserved than the Bâtard with astonishingly elegant aromas of green spiced apple, hints of exotic notes and citrus with intensely mineral flavors that are crystalline in their purity and detail. This is a complete wine with mind boggling purity and a brilliantly long finish that seems like liquified rock. While it's certainly approachable now, for my taste I would be inclined to give it another year or two in the cellar first but it is clearly approaching its apogee. In short, this is a real stunner and if this adds additional complexity, it's not difficult to imagine a higher score. Multiple and consistent notes. Allen Meadows, Burghound , aug. 2008
Perhaps one of the finest bottles tasted, the 2000 Chevalier Montrachet from Anne-Claude has a succinct, razor-sharp bouquet of wet limestone, lemon thyme, linden and chalk that is a thrill from start to finish. The palate displays wonderful balance: such poise and sophistication here, the precision giving way to surprising fatness on the mid-palate and a subtle honeyed tincture towards the consummate finish. This is drinking absolutely perfectly now, but it will continue giving pleasure over the next decade., 2014
The aromatically intense 2000 Chevalier-Montrachet boasts toasted mineral scents. This medium-bodied wine is vinous, deep, and packed with floral, mineral flavors. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2013. Pierre Rovani, Wine Advocate # 138 Dec 2001
