Tasting Notes
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Bouscaut Rouge rocks up with ready-to-go notes of black cherry compote, warm cassis, and raspberry preserves, leading to wafts of fallen leaves and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and impressive tension, finishing with good length and purity.

Smoke, black cherries, leaves, and spice notes weave together in the nose before you get to the medium-bodied, round-textured, creamy layers of ripe, fresh, smoky, spicy berries.
The 2022 Bouscaut is a dense, potent wine. Sumptuous dark red cherry fruit, plum, smoke, chocolate and incense fill out the layers. The oak needs to integrate fully, but that is what élevage is all about. This bold Pessac-Léognan has quite a bit of potential.
