Dom Perignon ordered for Alicia Keys celebration
Hip hop star Will.i.am has gone all-out to celebrate the pregnancy of pop princess Alicia Keys, ordering no less than 12 bottles of Dom Perignon and four bottles of Cristal in the space of an hour.
At a star-studded after-show party following AIDS fundraiser Keeping the Child Alive Black Ball, the 35-year-old treated his friends to £15,000 worth of premium bubbly at London's Merah club.
However, the Dom Perignon was not for Ms Keys herself, who in deference to her expected child opted for cranberry juice instead.
It is not the only high-profile shopping spree Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am has indulged in over the last couple of days - he was recently seen spending £15,000 on designer clothing in just half an hour at Vivienne Westwood.
He has some catching up to do if he wants to break the record for Champagne spending, though - in April, a mystery Russian billionaire put down £35,000 for a methuselah of Dom Perignon Rose Gold 1996 at London's Polo Bar.
